Physics Internships

Hire a Student in Physics

Physics equips students with fundamental conceptual tools necessary for a comprehensive and quantitative understanding of physical phenomena at all scales in nature. A physics education equips students with an intellectual toolkit that empowers them to shape their own future and devise innovative solutions to emerging challenges.

Arts & Science Internship Program (ASIP) students receive extensive professional and skill development training and supports through the ASIP supplementary curriculum.

What Can Our Students Offer?

By the End of Second Year:

  • Analytical skills — how to analyze and break down complex problems, apply scientific principles and develop logical solutions
  • Experimental and laboratory skills — hands-on experience with experimental physics techniques, laboratory equipment and data analysis. Students learn how to design experiments, collect and interpret data and write scientific reports
  • Research skills — research methodologies, experimental design, datainterpretation and scientific inquiry

By the End of Third Year:

  • Mathematical skills — strong mathematical skills, including calculus, differential equations, linear algebra and mathematical modeling
  • Strong scientific knowledge — deep understanding of physics principles, theories and concepts relevant to their respective programs — classical mechanics, quantum mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics and other areas of physics
  • Data analysis and computational skills — acquire solid skills in programming languages, such as Python to analyze and model physical systems
