Students will find a range of housing options that will help them build a fun, supportive and close-knit community at the University of Toronto. In first year, many undergraduate students find a home in one of the seven college-affiliated residences. Each college offers the residence experience; from suite-style (apartment) to dormitory-style layouts and unique features in each building, there are a number of housing options to meet your needs.
Alternatively, some students choose to live off-campus, in Student Family Housing, Chestnut Residence or Knox College Residence.
The University of Toronto provides a selection of nutritious, well-priced meal plans for residence and commuter students. Students living in dormitory-style residences are required to purchase a meal plan, which is helpful if you are looking for full-service living. Alternatively, if you find a home in a suite-style residence with kitchen facilities, obtaining a meal plan will be optional. The University of Toronto has a number of dining and food options.
