Undergraduate Research Programs

Faculty of Arts & Science Funded Opportunities

Research Excursions Program

The Research Excursions Program (REP) gives faculty funding to involve third-year undergraduate students on a faculty-led research project that takes place off-campus during the Summer term. REPs are supervised onsite by an Arts & Science faculty member.

Research Opportunities Program

The Research Opportunities Program (ROP) offers faculty members the chance to engage second- and third-year Arts & Science undergraduate students in research projects. Through this program, faculty members gain valuable research assistance and support, and students develop research skills while earning course credit. All faculty members who hold a U of T appointment at the St. George campus (including those from divisions outside of Arts & Science) are welcome to supervise Arts & Science students on ROP projects.
