Providing opportunities that students need to be successful
We are committed to initiatives that enable students to focus on what matters most: their education. We will make Arts & Science even more accessible, with greater support for equity-deserving students, including Black and Indigenous students.
Arts & Science Colleges and Student Experience
The Faculty of Arts & Science empowers talented students with the skills, mindset and confidence needed to build successful careers, lead change and make a meaningful difference in their communities. Help us create life-changing spaces, supports and dynamic opportunities for students at New College, Innis College, University College and Woodsworth College. Together, we can provide them with the creative and analytical tools needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.
Centre for Civilizations, Cultures & Cities
The new Centre for Civilizations, Cultures & Cities will be a spectacular academic home focused on remembering our past, comprehending the present and advancing an emboldened future for Canada and the world. This hub will enable dialogue and collaboration between units like never before.
Centre for Indigenous Studies
Establishing supportive spaces for Indigenous members of the U of T community is vital. Creating an Indigenous Hub — a communal space for the Centre for Indigenous Studies and Indigenous Student Services, First Nations House — will strengthen the connection between the University and the Indigenous land on which it sits.
Sidney Smith Hall Revitalization
Plans are underway to transform Sidney Smith Hall to create space for innovative learning, teaching and research. Additionally, the new Experiential Learning Commons will provide enriching experiences for U of T students outside the classroom through co-ops, internships and other forms of experiential learning.
