Message From Dean Melanie Woodin

"How it started vs. how it's going." You may have come across this recent viral meme on social media, which uses two images to comment on how a person, situation or institution has changed for the better over time. What a perfect way to demonstrate how the legacy and culture of giving at the Faculty of Arts & Science — how it started, how it's going and where we’re headed — has been transformative in so many ways, and that your philanthropy has the power to change the world.

You have encouraged and allowed us to drive education and innovation forward over the years; your commitment has helped lay a strong foundation for groundbreaking innovations and student success. We are excited to continue building on our strengths at the Faculty of Arts & Science, and we could not have arrived here without your generosity and vision. I am pleased to highlight three areas in this report which illustrate the tremendous impact of donor support and the limitless possibilities ahead.

Friends of the Faculty have helped us make huge strides toward discovery and excellence since the beginning; donors like you have helped us realize so many extraordinary A&S dreams — and from this vantage point, it looks like the journey is just beginning. Thank you for your support.
