U of T professor Allison Sekuler's podcast, Defy Dementia, nominated for Webby Award

The health podcast series Defy Dementia has been nominated for a prestigious Webby Award, the leading international distinction for excellence on the Internet, often referred as to the online Oscars.

The series helps listeners reduce their risk of dementia and optimize the aging journey through an exploration of key risk factors, captivating expert interviews, inspiring stories and practical advice.

Defy Dementia is co-hosted by Professor Allison Sekuler, President & Chief Scientist, Baycrest Academy for Research and Education and a professor of perception, cognition and cognitive neuroscience in the Faculty of Arts & Science’s Department of Psychology. Her co-host is Canadian author and broadcaster Jay Ingram.

The podcast has been nominated in the category for Podcasts (Shows): Health, Wellness & Lifestyle and is eligible for both the Webby Award — bestowed by the academy — and the Webby People’s Voice Award which is voted on by the public until end-of-day April 17.
