Chemistry’s Andy Dicks, Associate Professor, Teaching Stream, is the 2018 recipient of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) Education Award.
Selected by the Awards Committee of the RSC’s Education Division, this biennial prize recognizes a major contribution to education in the chemical sciences, over a sustained period of time. Dicks won this award for innovation in organic chemistry education research and practice, most significantly in the venue of teaching green chemistry principles to U of T undergraduate students via novel laboratory activities. The annual RSC awards ceremony will take place in London this summer.
