Scholarships and Awards

The Faculty of Arts & Science offers over 300 in-course and admission scholarships to undergraduate students. Scholarships recognize academic excellence, and may also take into account community involvement, leadership, creativity and other qualities.

Admission Scholarships

Admission scholarships are for those individuals applying to the University for undergraduate studies. Students are automatically considered for a variety of admission scholarships when they apply to the University. There are also admission scholarships that require students to complete a separate application or awards profile. Newly admitted students are encouraged to visit U of T's scholarship sorter to browse scholarship details including eligibility, application requirements and applicable deadlines.

In-course Scholarships

After first year, students are eligible for in-course scholarships. In-course scholarships are awarded to students who are excelling in their studies. Top students will automatically be considered for most of these awards, however, some opportunities do require applications. In addition to the scholarships offered by The Faculty of Arts & Science (see chart below), students may be eligible for other scholarships as awarded through each College and many academic departments

Current students are encouraged to visit U of T's scholarship sorter to browse scholarship details including eligibility.
