Description
This lecture will examine novels from inside and outside of Venezuelan borders as a means of illustrating how they all operate under a logic of one same field of cultural production that is still trying to resist the fragmentation resulting from emigration. One of the elements from this unity that has not been lost is the drive towards autonomy, despite how some criticism sees our current times as that of post-autonomy par excellence.
Limited seating. Part of a speaker series on the Venezuelan diaspora, a collaboration with the Centre for Diaspora & Transnational Studies, and the Centre for Caribbean Studies.
