Courtney Ward is an Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream in the Department of Economics.
A health economist, Ward’s research focuses on the implications of externality and selection effects in health production — with a particular emphasis on how these aspects interact with policy in intended or unintended ways.
She joins the University of Toronto from her previous role as Associate Professor at Dalhousie University. She received her PhD and master of arts from the University of Toronto and Queens University, respectively.
Ward’s work is supported by the Social Science and Humanities Research Council and has been published in journals such as the American Economic Journal: Applied Economics and the Canadian Journal of Economics.
