Three University of Toronto faculty members — including two from Arts & Science — have been elected members of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS).
Established by U.S. President Abraham Lincoln in 1863, the NAS recognizes distinguished achievements in original research and provides science, engineering and health policy advice to the federal government and other organizations.
The U of T scholars elected to the NAS in 2025 are:
- John Dick, senior scientist, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and McEwen Stem Cell Institute, University Health Network and professor of molecular genetics, Temerty Faculty of Medicine
- Morris Moscovitch, professor emeritus of the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Arts & Science
- Norman Murray, professor, David A. Dunlap Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics, Faculty of Arts & Science and Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics
