- Department of Philosophy professor Mark Kingwell writes a Globe and Mail op-ed arguing against the need for political leaders and for government run by citizens themselves.
- PhD candidate Julia Andersen and professor Russ Pysklywec of the Department of Earth Sciences explain in Live Science the geologic processes responsible for the formation of parts of the Andes Mountains.

- The Dragonfly Telephoto Array co-founded by David A. Dunlap Department of Astronomy & Astrophysics professor and chair Roberto Abraham is cited in Cosmos Magazine as the inspiration for a new Australian telescope designed to study the evolution of galaxies.
