Reza Hadisi

Assistant Professor, Department of Philosophy and Centre for Medieval Studies

Reza Hadisi.Reza Hadisi is assistant professor in the Department of Philosophy and the Centre for Medieval Studies at the University of Toronto. He earned his PhD in philosophy at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has a master of arts in philosophy from Concordia University, Montreal, a bachelor of arts in philosophy from the University of Sheffield in the U.K. and a bachelor of science in computer science from the University of Science in Malaysia.    

Prior to joining the University of Toronto, Hadisi was assistant professor at the University of Arizona. This appointment followed his work as lecturer at Princeton and visiting assistant professor at Hamilton College. In his research, he pursues questions in ethics, epistemology and action theory through the study of the history of philosophy. He is particularly interested in the Medieval Arabic and Persian tradition, and Kant.
