Katherine Daignault.Katherine Daignault is an assistant professor, teaching stream, in the Department of Statistical Sciences. She earned her PhD in biostatistics from the University of Toronto Dalla Lana School of Public Health in 2019. She previously received a master’s degree in statistics and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and classics from McGill University.  

Her doctoral research focused on developing causal inference methods to identify disparities in the quality of hospital care provided to cancer patients in Ontario. Before joining the Department of Statistical Sciences in her current role, she worked as a contract instructor for two years in the same department.
