General Admission Requirements
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
- At least six (6) Grade 12 University (U) or University/College (M) courses
- One of the above six courses must be ENG4U
- Within these admission categories, some programs of study may require additional high school subjects as prerequisites for specific courses in first year or for entry into a specific program in second year
- Supplemental applications are required for admission to the Computer Science and Rotman Commerce admission categories

**Where Grade 12 U/M required grades are in progress or not yet available, we will consider Grade 11 U/M grades in prerequisite courses for early offers of admission.

Admission Decisions
- We will make conditional offers of admission throughout the year on the basis of your available Grade 11 and 12 (or equivalent) marks; this assessment is possible provided your record shows that you are enrolled in all required Grade 12 (or equivalent) courses. If a Grade 12 mark in a prerequisite subject is not available, we will use the mark in the corresponding Grade 11 course.
- Some of our admission categories may fill up early. Preference is given to students with the best overall qualifications, with emphasis on the results of the most recent two years of study, including marks in prerequisite courses, and the strength of the supplemental application, where applicable.
- While the calculation of admission averages may not include Calculus, we will look specifically at your most recent English and Mathematics/Calculus grade for those admission categories which require it.
- The co-op component of Grade 12 courses will not be used for admission purposes.
- If you selected the Computer Science or Rotman Commerce admission categories, you will have the option of selecting a second admission category for consideration on the JOIN U of T portal. Selecting a second admission category does not affect eligibility for your first-choice category. Admission is subject to space availability and will be evaluated after all first-choice applicants have been considered. Please note: Choosing an alternate admission category does not guarantee admission to your second-choice program.
English Language Proficiency
- Depending on your background, you may be required to provide proof of English facility and academic records from studies completed outside of Ontario.
