Letters of Permission and Transfer Credit: Resolving Letters of Permission 

  • Immediately upon the completion of studies at the host university, the student must arrange to have an official transcript sent directly from the host university to the Transfer Credit Section, Faculty of Arts & Science, University of Toronto, Room 1006, Sidney Smith Hall, Toronto, Ontario, M5S 3G3 
  • Transcripts designated "student copy" and transcripts issued to the student that are not in a sealed envelope are not acceptable. 
  • Upon receipt of the official transcript, the Letter of Permission is re-assessed and a Transfer Credit Assessment indicating credit granted is sent to the student. [N.B. Letters of Permission for which official transcripts have not been received within two months of the end of the course(s) are automatically cancelled.] Students wishing to receive transfer credit after this time must submit a new Request for Transfer Credit and pay the relevant administrative fee.
