A photo of Dean Melanie WoodinThroughout my first few months as Dean, I have had opportunities to meet many members of our community. I have learned a great deal in a short time and feel privileged to be in this position.

Looking forward, I remain focused on opportunities, change and improvements that will help transform the student experience, leverage our disciplinary breadth, and further advance our research excellence. We are also working to build communities and connections across the Faculty and beyond.

I know we will continue to thrive as a Faculty and as a significant contributor to the University’s mission. We are embarking on an exciting chapter for A&S with the creation of our new academic plan. I look forward to engaging with our community on the completion and implementation of this important document that will be our roadmap for the next five years.

As 2019 comes to a close, I wish everyone peace and joy, and all the best in 2020.

Warm wishes,

Professor Melanie Woodin, Dean
