2021 Student innovation showcase: Applied Research in Action (ARIA)

Applied Research in Action (ARIA) is a technology innovation showcase, hosted by the Master of Science in Applied Computing (MScAC) Program. MScAC students complete an 8 month applied research internship with industry where they find innovative solutions to real world problems. Over 60 applied research projects from nearly 40 different industry partners — NVIDIA, Microsoft, Blackberry, Samsung AI Research, Deloitte, CPP Investments, Loblaw Companies, SickKids and many others — will be presented at the showcase

Now in it’s eighth year, ARIA has become a leading event that bridges academia and industry together and showcases cutting-edge tech innovations.

Why Attend?

ARIA is a great networking and learning experience for anyone interested in the latest technological innovations. It is a chance for anyone interested in pursuing graduate studies to see the applied research work with industry that you could be involved in as part of your grad studies, specifically in the MScAC program. Many industry personnel attend ARIA to recruit brilliant minds, so this is also a chance to potentially find employment opportunities.
