A Symposium on Subversive States brings together an interdisciplinary roster of international scholars from performance studies, geography, law, accounting, and island studies to explore broad questions around notions of sovereignty. Centering the conversation on micronations (self-declared nation-states), Subversive States represents the first event hosted by a Canadian academic institution on the topic.
