‘It has been priceless’: Three international students awarded full scholarships to Arts & Science

Three outstanding international students — Zoe Augspach from Argentina, Mohannad Elmestekawy from Egypt, and Jimena Esboña Baca from Peru — have been named Arts & Science Global Scholars, chosen for their academic excellence and leadership.

Emily Hospedales was enjoying an ordinary day at home in her native Trinidad and Tobago when she received life-changing news — she had been awarded a full scholarship to the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Arts & Science. “I had to read the email multiple times,” she says. “I called my parents and my dad cried on the phone.
