Alex Ramiller is an assistant professor in the Department of Geography & Planning, with a focus on housing, economic development planning and data analytics. His research uses various sources of administrative and commercial microdata to explore the role of housing and land use policy in shaping the interaction between neighbourhood context and individual economic outcomes, and he is particularly interested in the role of residential mobility in reshaping both urban spaces and urban residents.
Ramiller holds a PhD in city and regional planning and a graduate certificate in data science from the University of California, Berkeley.
