Christopher Blier-Wong

Christopher Blier-Wong is an assistant professor in the Department of Statistical Sciences. He received his PhD in actuarial science from Université Laval in 2023. Before joining U of T, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Waterloo.
Blier-Wong's research interests lie in the intersection of actuarial science, machine learning and statistics, with a particular focus on dependence modelling and e-variables. He has journal publications in actuarial science, statistics, machine learning and applied probability. His research explores a variety of topics, including non-life insurance, risk theory, risk-sharing, the application of machine learning and statistics in applied probability, and multivariate analysis.
