Tristan Collins.Tristan Collins is an associate professor in the Department of Mathematics. He earned his PhD at Columbia University in New York under the supervision of Duong H. Phong. Collins then spent four years as a Benjamin Peirce Fellow in the mathematics department at Harvard University, followed by an assistant professorship at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

His research concerns problems at the intersection of geometry, analysis, and algebraic geometry with motivation coming from problems in theoretical physics.

In 2018, Collins was awarded a Sloan Research Fellowship and in 2021, the Andre Aisenstadt Prize.
