Leafia Ye.Leafia Ye is an assistant professor in the Department of Sociology and a faculty affiliate at the Global Migration Lab at the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy. She received her PhD in sociology with a minor in statistics and data science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Ye’s research agenda centres on urgent challenges that deter the full inclusion of immigrant populations into host societies. One stream of this agenda focuses on immigrants' socioeconomic integration over the life course. Another stream investigates the challenges faced by first- and second-generation U.S. immigrants as they plan for retirement.

Her work has recently appeared in the journals Social Forces, Population and Development Review, Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies and RSF: The Russell Sage Foundation Journal of the Social Sciences, among others.
