October 24, 2022 by A&S News

U of T’s Master of Science in Applied Computing (MScAC) program has announced the return of its annual Applied Research in Action (ARIA) showcase. Known as Toronto’s biggest tech innovation showcase in the academic sector, ARIA is centre stage to some of the most cutting-edge applied research being conducted by MScAC and PhD students in close collaboration with industry-leading partners.

MScAC students complete an eight-month applied research internship with the program’s diverse array of industry partners, where together they identify innovative solutions to real-world problems. Attendees can expect to see over 80 applied research projects from MScAC and PhD students as well as a variety of industry partners present at this year’s showcase.

Returning to an in-person event this year, ARIA is taking over the MaRS Discovery District to highlight the academic-industry collaborations that continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in Toronto’s vibrant tech ecosystem.
