What Can Our Students Do?

  • Medical research
  • Laboratory work
  • Bioinformatics analysis
  • Research with an equity, diversity and inclusion lens
  • Patient education
  • Clinical informatics
  • Health and community services programming

Human Biology Program (HMB) students receive a multidisciplinary exposure to research in a broad range of human-biology-related topics. Laboratory courses equip HMB students with the knowledge to work in BSL2 laboratories using modern wet lab and data analysis techniques related to their specializations, while community-engaged learning or short workplace internships expose students to research and authentic problem-solving for the public, private and not-for-profit sectors in communities beyond campus.
