Letters of Permission and Transfer Credit: Purpose
For a Letter of Permission Request:
- the letter relays whether or not you are eligible for transfer credit, the course equivalencies (specific/unspecified) and/or exclusions, and any specific restrictions or conditions that may apply (see section: Criteria for Selecting Courses).
- Upon the completion of course work on a Letter of Permission, you must arrange with the host university to have an official transcript sent directly to the Transfer Credit Section of the Faculty of Arts & Science. Upon the receipt of the official transcript, the Letter of Permission is re-evaluated and a Transfer Credit Assessment letter will be sent to you outlining what, if any, transfer credit has been granted.
For a Transfer Credit Request:
- the letter lists what, if any, transfer credit has been granted (specific/unspecified), the course exclusions, and any conditions that may apply.
