Your Classes

Courses may include up to three components:

Lectures:  Typically there are three lecture hours associated with each course.

Tutorials:  Tutorials allow students to ask questions in a more informal and interactive atmosphere.  Tutorials are at least one hour in length and are run by a Teaching Assistant (an upper year undergraduate or a graduate student).  These classes are generally small in size (about 30 students are fewer.)

Practicals:  Some courses, primarily science classes, may include a two to three hour practical every other week.  Practicals (often referred to as "labs") are also smaller classes.  Depending on the nature of the course you will have the opportunity to work in small groups or one-on-one with another student.
