Ron Deibert, political science professor and director of the Canada Centre for Global Security Studies and the Citizen Lab at the Munk School of Global Affairs, spoke with the Toronto Star about how Netsweeper, a Guelph-based company that makes internet censorship tools, is complicit in serious privacy breaches.

"To have a company not only provide these products and services but actually be a leader in that area reflects very poorly on Canada," said Deibert, who's been monitoring Netsweeper's activity for several years.
