IN THE NEWS: Anthony Doob on Canada's bail system

Anthony Doob of the Centre for Criminology and Sociolegal Studies commented on a new report that stated Canada's bail system is costly, restrictive and lengthy.

"There are two major grounds for holding people in jail —  if there’s serious concern they won’t show up for trial or that they will commit a serious offence if released," Doob told CBC News.
