Arts & Science Council
- The Arts and Science Council considers policy for the Faculty of Arts and Science. It approves policy for the Faculty, e.g. in the areas of admissions and curriculum development. It specifies regulations governing evaluation and standing. The Council determines the schedule of dates and general nature of the timetable. It coordinates the work of the Curriculum Committees and approved courses of study and programs. The responsibility of the Arts and Science Council are not extended into areas that are, according to the University of Toronto Act, the responsibility of other bodies (e.g. budget, hiring, promotion, tenure).
