The Vice-Dean, Faculty and Academic Life assists departments, centres, and institutes in managing the human and financial resources that sustain the Faculty’s academic programs.  The vice-dean works closely with the director of human resources in advising unit heads on academic searches, appointments, and reviews, and with the chief financial officer in allocating annual one-time-only (OTO) funding for undergraduate teaching.  The vice-dean is the dean’s designate for faculty members’ concerns and grievances at the decanal level and chairs the Decanal Advisory Committee on Curricular Access (DACCA) — the standing committee that oversees the schedule of undergraduate courses and programs offered during the summer session — and is also responsible for the operations of the Office of Student Academic Integrity (OSAI).
