The 2012/2013 Times Higher Education World University Rankings, which measure the institutional excellence of the world's top 200 universities in research, teaching and knowledge transfer, lists the University of Toronto as the top university in Canada and 21st in the world.
- In a report that ranked U of T 19th in the world, the 2012/2013 QS World University Rankings placed U of T first in Canada in academic reputation in all five subject areas it measures: arts and humanities; natural sciences; life sciences and biomedicine; engineering and IT; and, social sciences.
- U of Tâs academic and research performance ranked 7th in the world â and the best in Canada â in a prestigious international ranking that measures strength in science disciplines. The National Taiwan University (NTU) ranking (formerly the Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council of Taiwan â HEEACT ranking) assesses the research productivity, impact and excellence of published scientific papers of 500 universities around the world.
