Alfred B. Lehman Graduate Scholarship in Mathematics

  • Established by John Elise Mines in memory of Professor Emeritus Alfred B. Lehman, a deep and brilliant researcher who received the prestigious Delbert Ray Fulkerson Prize for his work in the late 1970s on the width-length inequalities.
  • It is awarded to a graduate student in the Department of Mathematics on the basis of academic merit with preference given to students studying in the area of discrete or applied mathematics. Financial need will also be considered.

Blyth Fellowship

  • Established by the Estate of Reginald A. Blyth.
  • It is awarded to a graduate student in the Department of Mathematics.

 Coxeter Graduate Scholarship

  • Established through the generous donations of admirers, colleagues, and students of Professor H.S.M. Coxeter.
  • It is awarded to a graduate student in the Department of Mathematics.

 Coxeter Scholarship in Mathematics (OSOTF) (Undergraduate or Graduate Students)

  • Established through the generous donations of admirers, colleagues, and students of Professor H.S.M. Coxeter and matched by the Ontario Student Opportunity Trust Fund (OSOTF) and the Endowed Adjustment Fund (EAF).
  • It is awarded to an undergraduate or graduate students on admission or at the in course level who demonstrates exceptional achievement in mathematics. (OSOTF).

  • Established through the generous donations of admirers, colleagues, and students of Professor H.S.M. Coxeter.
  • It is awarded to an undergraduate or graduate students on admission or at the in course level who demonstrates exceptional achievement in mathematics.

 George F.D. Duff Graduate Fellowship in Mathematics

  • Established through the generous donations of the family and friends of Professor Emeritus George F.D. Duff.
  • It is awarded to a graduate student in the Department of Mathematics on the basis of academic merit. Financial need may also be considered.

  • Established by colleagues, family, and friends in memory of Ida Bulat

  • Awarded on the basis of academic merit or financial aid to graduate student(s) in the Department of Mathematics

 Margaret Ronald Taylor and Thomas Paxton Taylor Scholarships in Mathematics (undergraduate or graduate students)

  • Established by the Estate of Georgia Muriel Taylor.
  • It is awarded to an undergraduate or graduate students on admission or at the in course level who demonstrate exceptional achievement in mathematics. Financial need may also be considered.

 Mathematics Alumni Scholarship (OGSST)

  • Established through the generous donations of various donors.
  • It is awarded to a graduate student in the Department of Mathematics.

 Peter Rodney Book Prize in Combinatorics or a Related Field

  • Established through the generous donations of the family, friends, and colleagues of Peter Rodney.
  • It is awarded for the best presentation by a graduate student at the Ontario Combinatorics Workshop, as nominated by the organizing committee of the Workshop. If a winner is not nominated by the committee, the prize will be awarded on the basis of merit to a graduate student in mathematical science who is specializing in combinatorics or a related field.

 PPEF - Margaret Isobel Elliott Graduate Scholarship in the Department of Mathematics

  • Established by Professor George Elliott in honour of his mother, Margaret Isobel Elliott.
  • It is awarded to one or more graduate students in the Department of Mathematics. Awarded on the basis of academic merit with preference given to students specializing in the theory of algebras of operators in Hilbert space or its applications.

 Sir Lyman P. Duff Scholarship (OGSST)

  • Established by George F.D. Duff and matched by the Ontario Graduate Scholarships in Science and Technology (OGSST).
  • It is awarded to a graduate student in the Department of Mathematics whose chosen area of research, interpersonal skills and leadership reflect a multidisciplinary sensibility and a variety of academic and non-academic interests beyond the study of pure mathematics.
