Why did you choose U of T?

The flexibility of an Arts and Science degree allowed me that I can study different programs at the same time.

What advice would you give to first year students?

This is your exploration year in many ways. Get involved and talk with your fellow first year peers and the upper year students. That is the best way to make new friends and see what U of T has to offer to build your own undergraduate life.

What has been your favourite course so far?

My field courses were my favourite; I was outside of the classroom and lecture hall while learning different ways of sampling, conducting analysis of my raw data, and applying what I previously learned in a practical context

What unique learning opportunities have you participated in?

I was a part of a Research Opportunities Program and most recently came back from my Professional Experience Year. Both experiences gave me a new perspective of the world outside of university. The PEY allowed me to develop the skills that are valued by employers. It really showed me how a business functions and what direction I can take my career to.

What support service have you found most useful at U of T?

They are all great services. In my first year, the Writing Centre helped me putting my ideas on paper and pointed me towards effective organization of my paper.

What is your favourite thing about Toronto?

Toronto is a walkable city. Exploring the different neighbourhoods and trying new things are definitely my favourite things to do in Toronto!
