University College
UC students enjoy as their academic home UC’s heritage building, a national landmark located at the heart of the downtown campus, and three co-ed residences offering a range of residence choices from vintage elegance to brand new facilities.
A Commuter Student Centre provides programming, events, lounge and study space, upper year mentorship and trained don support to UC’s commuter students.
UC sponsors “UC One,” a special suite of small seminars and co-curricular opportunities for first year students each focusing on the theme of community engagement. UC One students learn the skills they’ll need to succeed at U of T, no matter what their interests and it equips them with the tools to apply what they learn in the world around them.
UC’s three interdisciplinary programs, Canadian Studies, Health Studies and Sexual Diversity Studies and the affiliated Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performing Studies are open to all students in the Faculty of Arts & Science.
University College students are known for creating a strong sense of community – in the college, the university and beyond. Their commitment to service and leadership is channeled through the “UCLit,” Canada’s oldest democratic student society and supported by UC’s commitment to student involvement in student life.
