General Admission Requirements

  • If you will be writing your Advanced examinations this academic year, you will be considered for a provisional offer of admission

Applicants must present the complete certificate or diploma with subjects including:

  • Some programs may require additional high school subjects as prerequisites for specific courses in first year or for entry into a specific program in second year: visit the individual program pages to find out which high school courses are required

     

    Requirements for Students Completing the GCE

    • At least five different IGCSE/GCSE/Ordinary Level academic subjects and four different Advanced Subsidiary academic subjects OR three different Advanced Level/International Advanced Level academic subjects. Applied Advanced Level subjects are not an ideal preparation for our programs.
    • General Paper, General Studies,Critical Thinking, Thinking Skills, and Key Skills are not acceptable.
      • Prerequisites should be presented at Advanced/A2 or Advanced Subsidiary Level. Some programs may consider excellent IGCSE/GCSE/Ordinary Level results for fulfilling a prerequisite.
      • Applicants to the Rotman Commerce program are required to complete an online supplemental application
      • All examinations must be conducted by an examination authority located in the UK or an equivalent authority elsewhere
      • GCE students may receive transfer credit for some courses - more information will be provided at the time of admission.

       

      Requirements for Students Completing Cambridge Pre-University Program

        • The Cambridge International Pre-U Certificate (3 Principal Subjects) or the full Cambridge International Pre-U diploma including 3 Principal Subjects (or a combination of Advanced Level academic subjects and Principal Subjects), Global Perspectives and Independent Research Report (GPR).
        • Prerequisites should be presented at Advanced Level/A2 or Principal Subjects. Some programs may consider excellent IGCSE/GCSE/Ordinary Level results for fulfilling a prerequisite.

        English Language Proficiency

        • The Faculty of Arts & Science offers the International Foundation Program, a new option for students who wish to attend U of T but whose English skills do not meet the University's entrance requirements

        • Every Faculty of Arts & Science, University of Toronto St. George student is a member of one of seven colleges.
        • Selecting a college is a personal decision unrelated to program choice.
