Administrative Management Systems (AMS)

What is AMS?

AMS is the central department responsible for the maintenance and effectiveness of all the major system components of U of T's administrative systems.

  • Training and Documentation:
    • The Human Resources Information System (HRIS) website provides timely information for HRIS users about system changes, upcoming events, reference documentation, step by step instructions for processing information in HRIS, training materials and relevant links.
    • The Financial Information System (FIS) website provides timely information for FIS users about system changes, upcoming events, reference documentation, step by step instructions for processing information in FIS, training materials and relevant links.
    • uSOURCE is the university's e-procurement system which allows authorized employees to purchase supplies and equipment from contracted vendors over the internet and charge the cost directly to the appropriate University of Toronto account.

Web Based User Services

  • The Employee Self Service (ESS) gives many employees convenient access to their personal information, including:
    • Employee profile (includes personal data, position and education information)
    • Earning statements (for current year and previous calendar year)
    • Benefit enrolment information.
    • ESS also allows you to change your home address, banking and emergency contact information.
  • Other online systems for employees include the Expense Reimbursement Direct Deposit and My Research On Line for Principal Investigators (MROL).
