Degree Navigator

Degree Navigator is a web-based program of study and degree audit database. It's a powerful, flexible, secure, and user-friendly program that will allow students to measure completed and anticipated courses against Arts & Science program and degree requirements at any point in their undergraduate career. Degree Navigator is intended for use by degree students.

We would like to stress that the Degree Navigator assessment is not a final, official degree assessment—the final assessment will be performed in the normal manner by departments, colleges, and our office.

You can access Degree Navigator via the ROSI web site

Normal Hours of Operation

  • Monday to Friday: 8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
  • Weekends: Saturday 2:00 a.m. to Sunday 2:00 a.m., Sunday 2:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Logging In

Use your student number and your ROSI PIN to log in to Degree Navigator. Do not enter leading zeros of your student number. All information (e.g. course information, program enrolments) in Degree Navigator is refreshed once a day, Monday to Friday, prior to 8 a.m. If you change your ROSI PIN, the new PIN will not work for Degree Navigator until the next business day.

Using Degree Navigator

Not all of the Faculty's 400 programs have been loaded into Degree Navigator at this time, but we anticipate that approximately 90% of undergraduate students will be able to check at least one of their specialist, major or minor programs. The other 10% will be able to use Degree Navigator to assess general degree requirements, such as course count and distribution requirement.

To start, click on "Degree" or "Subject POSt" (which appears on the right of the page) to see the description of your degree/program. Select "Audit – Assessor Report" from the drop down list next to the degree description to obtain an assessment. For further instructions on the capabilities of Degree Navigator, refer to the Online User Guide for Students, available under the Help pull-down (Degree Navigator 4). Frequently Asked Questions about Degree Navigator are available on the Arts & Science web site.
