Program Enrolment: Bioinformatics & Computational Biology

2017-18 Program Enrolment: Bioinformatics & Computational Biology

St. George campus, Arts & Science students are required to enrol in program(s) at the end of the session in which they complete their fourth full-course equivalent. Students can only enrol in programs offered on the St. George campus.

You must enrol in the minimum appropriate combination of programs for your degree before your course enrolment period starts, or you will be prevented from enrolling in courses on ROSI.

If you intend to complete the Honours Bachelor of Arts or Honours Bachelor of Science (Hon. B.A. or Hon. B.Sc.) degree, you must be enrolled in either one specialist, two majors, or one major + two minors. Please note that you can enrol in no more than three programs, of which only two can be majors or specialists.

How and when to enrol in the Bioinformatics & Computational Biology specialist

The Bioinformatics & Computational Biology specialist is a Type 1S program. It does not have requirements for entry into the program other than successful completion of 4.0 full-course equivalents. No application is required, though enrolment only begins in the second request period.

To enrol, log on to ACORN at www.acorn.utoronto.ca on July 3 and select “Programs” from the "Enrol & Manage" menu. In the search box, enter ASSPE1868 for the Bioinformatics & Computational Biology specialist. A pop-up box will appear - confirm your enrolment by clicking the "Enrol" button. If your enrolment is successful, the program should then appear under the "Currently Enrolled" heading.

The following enrolment dates apply to the Bioinformatics & Computational Biology specialist:

  • July 3 - first day to enrol on ACORN
  • September 20 - last day to enrol on ACORN

IMPORTANT NOTES

Students enrolled in the Bioinformatics & Computational Biology pay higher fees. See the Academic Fees for Commerce, Computer Science, Bioinformatics & Computational Biology or Concurrent Teacher Education Programs page for details.

If you are registered in the 2017 Summer session, and enrol in the Bioinformatics & Computational Biology specialist during the summer or later, your fees in the 2017 Summer session will be affected. See the Academic Fees for Commerce, Computer Science, Bioinformatics & Computational Biology or Concurrent Teacher Education Programs page for details.
