Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be a graduate student in the Faculty of Arts and Science who is enrolled in a doctoral-stream humanities or social science program.
• Financial need will be considered; must demonstrate financial need by qualifying for OSAP or by submitting a Financial Needs Assessment Form for the fall-winter sessions in which the application is made.
• Please note: international students are not eligible.

Value:

• $30,000
• Award is paid, after re-registration in the next fall session at the University of Toronto, in three equal installments: September, January, May.

Applications:

Applicants must be nominated by their unit. Applications must be submitted by the nominating unit. Please ensure applications are complete upon submission.

1. Two-page statement from the applicant outlining their program of study and/or research interests.
2. Curriculum vitae.
3. If applicable: undergraduate and graduate transcripts from institutions other than U of T (do not submit U of T transcripts)
4. Letter of support from the student’s supervisor.
5. Letter of support from the graduate coordinator of the student’s unit.
6. Photocopy of the applicant’s OSAP assessment or Financial Needs Assessment Form.
