2016 Fall Lobby Bookings

Booking the Lobby Table: September 19 - December 7, 2016

The lobby tables can only be booked by U of T offices, ULife recognized campus groups and ASSU course unions.

Please read the Policy on the Use of Main Public Spaces in Sidney Smith Hall for regulations on the use of space.

Groups may reserve one table (tables measure 60" by 30") and two chairs for events with no sales (fundraisers for campus groups are allowed [bake sales* (see below), book sales, etc.]). Commercial activity is not allowed in the lobby.

Bake Sales and Food Sales: If you are hosting a Bake Sale, please see the Bake Sales Policy. If you are hosting a special event with foods not included in bake sales, please see the Temporary Food Services Policy. In either case, you must attach approval (for every day you plan to sell food) from Food & Beverage Services to your lobby table booking request.

The maximum number of single table bookings per group per term is five.

Booking of the entire lobby is not allowed.

Please note: there are no bookings allowed during the study break (December 8) or the December examination period (December 9-20).

 

Using the Lobby, September 12-16

The lobby can only be used by U of T offices and ULife recognized campus groups, and ASSU course unions

Tables will be available to U of T offices, ULife recognized campus groups and ASSU course unions on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note: groups may not sponsor or host outside organizations.

  • Space will be made available at the Faculty's discretion
  • One table and two chairs are allowed per group in the lobby
  • The use of amplification is not permitted. Furniture from the classrooms may not be used.
  • Lobby furniture may not be taken outside to the patio nor to the area between the exterior and interior building doors.
  • The lobby cannot be used for commercial purposes
