Examination Conflicts

Scheduling Conflicts and/or Religious Observance Conflicts

    All Students

    • If you are registered with Accessibility Services in the current session and will be writing your examinations through Test and Exam Services, you do not need to report any St. George Arts  & Science conflicts to the Office of the Faculty Registrar. Instead, please contact Test and Exam Services directly and that office will resolve your exam conflict.

    St. George Arts & Science Students

    Scheduling Conflicts

    • Check the final exam timetable for the upcoming exam period to confirm whether you have a conflict
    • The deadline to report an exam conflict for the April 2017 Final Exam period was Friday, March 31. After this date, students who have two Faculty final examinations in the same time slot, or three consecutive Faculty final examinations (e.g., morning, afternoon, evening; or afternoon, evening, next morning) should report their conflict to the Office of the Faculty Registrar (Sidney Smith Hall, 100 St. George Street, Room 1006) immediately.

    Religious Observance Conflicts

    • It is the policy of the University of Toronto to arrange reasonable accommodations for those students whose scheduled exams conflict with a religious holy day that they are observing.
    • Check the final exam timetable for the upcoming exam period to confirm whether any of your final exams requires rescheduling on the grounds of religious observance
    • The deadline to report an exam conflict for the April 2017 Final Exam period was Friday, March 31. After this date, students who have an exam conflict with a religious observance should report their conflict to the Office of the Faculty Registrar (Sidney Smith Hall, 100 St. George Street, Room 1006) immediately.

    Students Registered in Other Divisions/Faculties

    • If you have a scheduling conflict between two St. George Arts & Science exams, please report it to the Office of the Faculty Registrar (Sidney Smith Hall, 100 St. George Street, Room 1006) immediately.
    • If you have a scheduling conflict between an Arts & Science exam and an exam in a course offered by another Faculty or division, please report this to your Faculty or Divisional Registrar's Office.
    • If you have a religious observance conflict with an Arts & Science exam, please report this to your Faculty or Divisional Registrar's Office.

    June and December Examination Periods

    • Students who have a conflict between a Faculty final examination and a term test in a Y course, or between term tests in two Y courses, should contact the Department(s) offering the Y course(s) to make alternate arrangements.
