Examination Conflicts

Scheduling Conflicts and/or Religious Observance Conflicts

    All Students

    • If you are registered with Accessibility Services in the current session and will be writing your examinations through Test and Exam Services, you do not need to report any St. George Arts  & Science conflicts to the Office of the Faculty Registrar. Instead, please contact Test and Exam Services directly and that office will resolve your exam conflict.

    St. George Arts & Science Students

    Scheduling Conflicts

    • Check the final exam timetable for the upcoming exam period to confirm whether you have a conflict
    • Students who have two Faculty final examinations in the same time slot, or three consecutive Faculty final examinations (e.g., morning, afternoon, evening; or afternoon, evening, next morning), should submit a Final Examinations Conflict form using their University of Toronto email account to examconflicts.artsci@utoronto.ca
    • Please save the blank Final Examinations Conflict form to your desktop before completing it. Once the form has been completed, ensure that you save it again before sending it as an email attachment. [Note to Mac Users: If you're filling out the form using an Apple computer, please also attach a screenshot of the completed form to your email.]
    • Blank PDF forms cannot be processed
    • The deadline to report an exam conflict for the August 2017 Final Exam period is August 8, 2017.

    Religious Observance Conflicts

    • It is the policy of the University of Toronto to arrange reasonable accommodations for those students whose scheduled exams conflict with a religious holy day that they are observing.
    • Check the final exam timetable for the upcoming exam period to confirm whether any of your final exams requires rescheduling on the grounds of religious observance
    • If one of your scheduled final exams conflicts with a religious observance, submit a Final Examinations Conflict form using your U of T email account to examconflicts.artsci@utoronto.ca
    • Please save the blank Final Examinations Conflict form to your desktop before completing it. Once the form has been completed, ensure that you save it again before sending it as an email attachment. [Note to Mac Users: If you're filling out the form using an Apple computer, please also attach a screenshot of the completed form to your email.]

    Students Registered in Other Divisions/Faculties

    • If you have a scheduling conflict between two St. George Arts & Science exams, submit a Final Examinations Conflict form using your U of T email account to examconflicts.artsci@utoronto.ca, no matter which Faculty or Division you are registered with. The deadline to submit the Conflict form for August 2017 Final Exam period is August 8, 2017. [Note to Mac Users: If you're filling out the form using an Apple computer, please also attach a screenshot of the completed form to your email.]
    • If you have a scheduling conflict between an Arts & Science exam and an exam in a course offered by another Faculty or division, please report this to your Faculty or Divisional Registrar's Office.
    • If you have a religious observance conflict with an Arts & Science exam, please report this to your Faculty or Divisional Registrar's Office.

    June and December Examination Periods

    • Students who have a conflict between a Faculty final examination and a term test in a Y course, or between term tests in two Y courses, should contact the Department(s) offering the Y course(s) to make alternate arrangements.
