Program Enrolment Required

If you are working towards an Arts & Science degree and have completed or expect to complete your fourth full-course equivalent (4.0 FCEs) or more by the end of the 2017 Summer session, you will need to enroll in a program combination appropriate for your degree or you will be prevented from course enrolment for the 2017-18 Fall/Winter session. Check the Program enrolment section of the Arts & Science web site for more information.

TCard

The TCard is the official student ID—all Arts & Science students are required to have one. It is issued at TCard Services located in the Koffler Student Services Centre, 214 College Street, Rm. 102.

For instructions and requirements to get your TCard, see http://tcard.utoronto.ca/

Email

The University's official method of communicating with you as a student is through your University of Toronto email account. Once you have your TCard, be sure to activate your U of T email account and check it often for important messages and alerts from your instructors, College, Faculty, Departments and the University.

Space in Classes

It is University policy that the number of students enrolled in a course or meeting section cannot exceed the capacity of the room. In addition courses may have enrolment limits for reasons other than classroom size. Every attempt has been made to ensure that the room assigned to a course will accommodate the number of students expected to enrol; however, as there is limited space to meet demand, some students may not obtain space in every course they want. You are advised to select alternate courses in which to register in event that you are unable to enrol in a course that is filled. If a class is full on the last day to enrol and you are not officially enrolled in the course, you do not have a right to be in the class, and will not be granted late registration.

Use of ACORN

Using ACORN to enrol means you agree to abide by all of the academic and non-academic rules and regulations of the University, Faculty and College in which you are registered, and assume the obligation to pay academic and incidental fees according to the policies and requirements of the University.
