Tuesday, November 8, 2016, Sidney Smith Hall

The Office of the Faculty Registrar is excited to provide an opportunity for our college and departmental advising colleagues to come together for a day of professional development, networking, and community building. We hope that participants will leave the conference with new ideas, skills, and connections.

Session Information

Our keynote speaker is Tim Fricker. Tim is the Director of Student Success Initiatives at Mohawk College, where he is responsible for a variety of programs aimed at improving student learning and success. He will share his insights on academic advising and student success in Canada.

Our concurrent sessions cover a wide variety of topics, ranging from a continued discussion on best practices on note-taking for student files to a presentation on advising high-achievers.

Review the different types of sessions that will be available throughout the day and the specific topics that will be presented on.
